WMH’s Overseas Expansion Support Tailored to Local Market Characteristics

WMH provides a wide range of solutions that support business growth both in Japan and abroad, primarily within the fashion and beauty industries. Internationally, WMH collaborates with its offices in Singapore, Australia, Taiwan, Malaysia, and Vietnam to offer comprehensive support—from market entry and brand operations to business management—serving as a long-term partner for sustainable growth.

Malaysia, with its multicultural society, is home to a diverse consumer base and is gaining attention as a strategic hub for expansion into neighboring countries. In particular, Kuala Lumpur, the nation’s capital, holds strong international influence, and success in this market can have a ripple effect across Southeast Asia. Recognizing these market characteristics, WMH provides end-to-end support for market entry and brand development that resonates with the local culture and lifestyle.

Continuing from Last Year, WMH Supports New Store Openings of Japan-Originated Brands at LaLaport BBCC

In December 2024, four Japan-originated brands—Animate, Younger Song, 9090, and WEGO—opened new stores at LaLaport BBCC in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. WMH strengthened its operational framework and collaborated closely with LaLaport to bring these openings to life.

Following the high evaluation received for that initiative, WMH once again partnered with WM MALAYSIA to lead the project. The team provided comprehensive support across multiple areas, including store operation design and management, recruitment and training of sales staff, and visual merchandising (VMD). Even after the openings, WMH continues to provide end-to-end support to ensure that each store can operate independently and achieve sustainable growth in the local market.

LaLaport BBCC — A Landmark Destination Gaining Attention in Malaysia

Since opening in January 2022, LaLaport BBCC has been dedicated to creating a customer experience that blends shopping, dining, entertainment, and culture, positioning itself as a new lifestyle destination in Malaysia. The mall continues to attract a dynamic mix of Malaysian and Asian brands, and now features around 400 stores. By also offering services catering to tourists, LaLaport BBCC continues to evolve as one of the key landmark destinations in the region.
